The story behind Vinarra
A note from the founder
My son loves scary stories. I couldn’t find any that were actually kid-friendly - not too scary, kinda funny, silly - so I wrote my own. That’s how Marvin happened: a hungry little monster who lives under the bed.
My wife teaches first grade, and when she reads a story she really reads it - all the voices. The kiddos loved it, so we tried recording her. Editing the audio alone was hard enough. Then the kids wanted to see Marvin, and I spent forever bouncing between AI sites where Marvin never looked like Marvin twice. Finishing one story took so long that we just kept reading the same one over and over.
Vinarra is what I wished existed that whole time: one place to write a story, hear it in our own voices, and actually watch it. We’ve been having a blast. I hope you do too.

Will AI rewrite my story?
No - and this is the whole point of Vinarra. Your script is read verbatim. AI helps with the surrounding craft: finding who speaks each line, staging illustrations, suggesting sound effects. Every word stays yours - your story, brought to life.
Can I make the characters look like my family?
Yes. Give a character a reference photo and Vinarra draws them in your story’s art style - so the hero can look like your kids, or grandma can have grandma’s face. Once a character is set, they stay recognizable from scene to scene and across every story you make.
What if a character comes out looking wrong?
It happens - AI art isn’t perfect. When a character drifts off-model, Vinarra flags it and makes the fix a click away, instead of pretending it never happened. Your hero stays your hero.
Do I have to record my own voice?
Only if you want to. Narrate it yourself with the built-in teleprompter, or cast from a large library of AI voices - you can even make your own AI voice and reuse it across every story you tell. Whatever you choose, one click can enhance any voice so it sounds its best.
Who owns what I make?
You do. Your story, your recordings, and the video and audio Vinarra makes from them are yours - download everything, publish anywhere. Just one thing: anything you bring in yourself, like music or images, needs to be yours to use.
What exactly are credits?
Generating images, voices and animation costs real money, so each creative action - an illustration, a minute of AI narration, an animated clip - costs a set number of credits. Your plan refills your credits monthly, and top-ups are there for big months. Writing, editing, arranging and re-timing your story never cost credits - only creating new media does.
Where can I publish?
Straight from Vinarra: YouTube (with title, description, thumbnail and privacy controls) and your own podcast RSS feed, ready to submit to Apple Podcasts or Spotify. Or skip publishing entirely and just download the files.
Who is Vinarra for?
Anyone with a story worth hearing: parents and grandparents keeping bedtime stories, writers giving their fiction a voice, teachers, podcasters building a catalog. If it’s written and you want it heard or watched, it belongs here. Accounts are for adults (18+) - the stories can be for anyone.
Do you disclose that AI was involved?
Yes. Your words and your voice are real; the illustrations and animation are AI-made, and we don’t pretend otherwise. When you publish to YouTube, Vinarra turns on the platform’s synthetic-content disclosure for you by default.
